2025 outings
Many thanks to Dorothea Fletcher for arranging these visits. We enjoyed 3 outings in 2024 to Stourbridge Glass Museum, Daniels Mill at Bridgnorth and Halfpenny Green Vineyard.
This year in 2025 there were 2 outings as below.
Thursday 19th June 2025
Visit and guided tour to Hartlebury Castle. Tickets £22 pp.
We had a guided tour of the library which is not generally open to visitors and we were also shown around the museum by the very knowledgeable guides. The morning ended with a cream tea and we were free to explore the grounds of the castle.
Thursday 21st August 2025
Visit and tour of Worcester Porcelain led by Colin Millett. Tickets £18.50 pp
We made our own way to the museum and had a talk and guided tour by Colin Millett. It was very interesting to hear about the history of the factory and to see the beautiful artefacts. At the end of the tour we walked down to the river to see where the old factory used to be, it is now sadly a car park. There is a blue plaque and an information board about the factory and about John Wall
